Horses to Follow

Boss Doyle - This is one for the shortlist and will be going over to the UK to raid some decent races.

Executive Was not knocked about when his chance had gone in a Clonmel Maiden Hurdle. The two mile trip was probably too short and he looks the type that will improve.

Gemini Guest Has the right attitude to win over Hurdles. Despite poor jumps at the last two flights at Listowel he stuck his neck out and battled to the line, but was beaten 3/4 length into second. His jumping will improve and with his proven ability on the flat he looks well worth following over the coming months.

Get It On Is a decent prospect over hurdles for the coming season. He won easily at the Galway Festival, but was totally unsuited by a slow pace at Tralee last time. He pulled very hard and as a result had little to offer when the pace quickened from the second last flight.

Irresistible Jewel Finished strongly on her debut behind Della Francesca over six furlongs at Leopardstown and looks a decent prospect.

Magua has been highlighted in this section previously as a likely future winner over hurdles. While he remains well treated in that sphere, he made an eye-catching debut over fences at Gowran and looks certain to win races over the larger obstacles. He jumped cleverly and was only hunted around in the last half mile after his rider heard a respiratory noise.

Sackville - Horse full of potential and must be followed

Silver Dagger Was backed off the boards at Galway, but was almost knocked down before halfway and the run should be ignored. The volume of money for him in that race would suggest that he can improve upon his previous Curragh victory.

True Blue Victory Has run well on the flat this season without winning, but it is over hurdles that he will come into his own. He will need decent ground to be seen at his best.

Wellfodo appears a likely future winner for the stable following a promising introduction at Punchestown. In an above-average Maiden he came home strongly to finish fourth. It will be surprising if his trainer cannot place him to win before the end of season.
